Carefully Planned
As we breed only occasionally we take time to study the pedigrees and research the potential parents. We look at the type and temperament of both sire and dam with the aim of producing quality offspring with the type, conformation and super temperaments we are striving for.
Health Tested Parents
We do our best to produce healthy puppies and to that end BOTH parents are health checked and are only used for breeding if their scores and results are good. We test for;
- Heart – Full Echo Doppler testing by a BVCS approved specialist cardiologist
- Hips – X-ray and scoring under the BVA/KC scheme
- Elbows – X-ray and scoring under the BVA/KC scheme
- Cystinuria – DNA testing to screen for Cystinuria gene
Lovingly Home Reared
Our puppies are reared in our home with lots of love and attention. They are exposed to the sights and sounds of daily life which builds their confidence and mixing with our other newfies (and two spaniels) they are used to being around other dogs.
We want all of our babies to go to loving forever homes and we do home-checks with their prospective new owners.
